Clayo Clinic is an independent, family-run fertility centre in Prague 5 - Smíchov, founded in 2023 by Dr. Daniel Hlinka PhD, a pioneer of human embryology in the former Czechoslovakia who performed the country's first ICSI fertilisation in 1993. Dr. Hlinka's innovations - including the OptimICSI method, which uses polarisation microscopy to identify peak oocyte maturity before fertilisation, as well as the introduction of MESA/TESE, vitrification and time-lapse monitoring in the Czech Republic - have contributed to the birth of more than 5,000 children. Unusually, the clinic accepts patients with lower chances of conception that other centres may turn away, offering a transparent, solution-focused approach and partial cost compensation if a cycle does not result in pregnancy.
