Who writes and reviews this site?

Every page is written and reviewed by the two of us. We are not journalists writing about fertility from the outside. We went through ten IVF cycles, four in the UK and six abroad, and built this site because the information we needed did not exist in one place.

We are not doctors and we do not give medical advice. Where a page touches on clinical decisions it says so and tells you to take the question to a fertility specialist.

How often are listings reviewed?

Every clinic listing is re-checked against the clinic's own published sources each quarter. The date of the last check is printed on the clinic page and in the final column of the European IVF Price Index. All 44 listings were last verified on 30 August 2026. Where a clinic has confirmed its details back to us directly, that separate date is shown too.

Do you publish clinic marketing copy?

No. We publish no clinic-supplied marketing copy unedited. Clinics can send us price lists, treatment lists, regulatory documents and results tables, and we are glad to receive them, but the description you read on a clinic page is written by us. We strip superlatives, remove claims a clinic cannot evidence, and we do not let a clinic approve our wording before it goes live.

How do you label clinic-reported figures?

Anything a clinic reports about itself is labelled as clinic-reported, with the source and the date. That covers success rates, cycle volumes, waiting times and prices. Independent registry data, where it exists, is labelled with the registry that published it.

A success rate is only shown where the clinic states its basis: the age band, own or donor eggs, per transfer or per cycle started, and the year. A bare percentage with no basis tells you nothing, so we do not print one. Where a clinic publishes no comparable figure the page says so and tells you to ask the clinic in writing.

What will you never publish?

• A success rate we cannot attribute to a named source with a stated basis and year.
• An estimated, interpolated or averaged price standing in for a price a clinic has not published.
• A claim that one clinic gets better outcomes than another, or than treatment at home.
• An individual patient review or testimonial. We show aggregate ratings with a link to the source.
• Any ordering, badge or placement that a clinic has paid for.

What if we get something wrong?
