Institut Marquès specialises in gynaecology and assisted reproduction, headquartered in Barcelona with branches in Rome, Milan, London and Ireland. The practice has over 100 years of history and now includes the fourth generation of gynaecologists from the Marquès family. Dr Marisa López-Teijón and Dr Leonardo Marquès Amorós joined in 1987, and the first IVF laboratory opened in 1989, renovated and expanded in 2009. The clinic offers genetic counselling, care for hereditary diseases, recurrent miscarriage and andrology, and treats complex cases including patients with multiple previous failed attempts. It maintains its own egg and sperm bank and runs an online platform allowing patients to watch their embryo development remotely.
